Government Center, Stamford

In the mid-1980's GTE decided to expand its operations in Stamford. At the time, Harry and David were both working for HOK in New York, designing the building for the new "Sprint" division. While the building was under construction, GTE reorganized their corporate operations and sold the building to the city for their new City Hall / Government Center. Only minor interior changes were made to accommodate the extensive public use of the building.

The ten story office tower wraps symmetrically around its corner orientation on Tresser & Washington. The multi-level parking garage and landscaped roof terrace set into the back of the site.

Architects: HOK New York, Harry Culpen, Director of Design
