Charkit returned to CWA to design their new offices in the old "Coachworks" building in South Norwalk. The area has seen a renaissance of sorts over the last 10 years. This building had been an automobile repair shop since the turn of the century. GE Cap renovated it in the 1980's for office use and now Charkit plans to complete a gut renovation that will expose all of the old timber and steel framing, but also add modern details and furnishings. The existing round circular stair will remain but will have new steel railings with Lucite inset panels. Ceiling acoustic panels are formed into rounded shapes that look like "beans" in plan.
