30th Street Station, Philadelphia
Once the grandest train station in the
Northeast corridor, 30th Street Station was in a depressed state
after years of neglect. The historic restoration plan first required
a forensic investigation of original materials including: limestone
surfaces, painted surfaces, light fixtures, track signage, building
signage and concourse floor. New design standards emphasized the
historic store fronts and materials, while allowing tenants to
express modern retailing standards.
