Abo El Hol Center, Cairo
CWA provided the initial concept and retail design
for a new mixed use, retail and entertainment center in New Cairo, Egypt.
The overall planning concept and retail mix was formulated by conducting
a one week charrette in Egypt. Three initial design concepts led to the
winning option for a "power" center / entertainment complex
with separate office & retail buildings. The concept further evolved
into a proposal that focuses the structures on a grand, shaded "forum"
at the heart of the community.
