Laurel Mall, Laurel, MD

Realizing that this mall could never achieve its financial potential without major improvements, a program for repositioning was initiated by new owners. The biggest issue was the visibility: fronting Route 1, cut off by a massive parking deck. A series of fabric structures were introduced along the highway and on top of the garage to draw attention to the building. These light and airy fabric structures, with dramatic lighting are combined with interior mall improvements and improved graphics.
