Roxbury Swim & Tennis Club, Club House alteration
The Board of Directors needed to expand an existing
roof top deck area when the old corrugated fiberglass roof ripped apart
in a December nor-easter. The adversity of the storm created an opportunity
to rebuild and entire deck area to enhance flourishing social activities.
The new deck with it's protection from the harsh summer sun, has become
the central gathering place for the club. The deck further makes a great
place to watch water polo meets. A new stair is centered on the breezway
below enhanced by the natural light from the clear story glass through
a grand new opening.
