Ashburton Avenue Projects

Two sites in Yonkers, New York have been designed at once for the Richman Group with DHCR - state funding. Site A was designed first and set the model for site B. However site B completed construction first and opened to great fanfare in winter of 2009. An additional phase of low-rise townhouses is also in the works on an adjacent property, Site C. When complete the entire project will bring some 500 affordable units to the community.

Site A is a 6 story apartment building of rusticated brick and precast details. It contains approximately 80 units in a double loaded corridor plan. One side faces the avenue and the other looks out to long views out to the Hudson River. Parking is placed on the lower level and tucked under the building.

Site C, also called Mulford Gardens, is a low-rise develpment of two and three story buildings spread over twelve acres.
